NW Goldberg Cares, in partnership with the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, has initiated the “Reimagining Ferry Park” project—a six-month planning study aimed at revitalizing the commercial corridor along Ferry Park Street between Holden and Lawton. This initiative seeks to engage residents, community leaders, and stakeholders in envisioning the types of businesses and services they wish to see in their neighborhood.
Daniel A. Washington, President and Founder of NW Goldberg Cares, emphasized the importance of community involvement:
“This study aims to unite residents, community leaders and stakeholders to collectively author the first study of its kind within the Ferry Park community.”
The project includes meetings, focus groups, and feedback sessions to ensure that the final plan reflects the community’s needs and aspirations. This effort builds upon NW Goldberg Cares’ ongoing work in transforming vacant lots into vibrant public spaces, such as the Holland Maze Literacy Park.
